Mini ROK announcement

Despite the communication sent out towards the end of 2016, ROK Cup SA confirmed this past weekend that the class ages will stay unchanged and continue as per the 2016 season.

“The Mini Rok class will still retain the status it enjoyed in 2016”, being a South African National class, with Regional and Club class statuses across South Africa for competitors that are in the year of their 8th birthday through to their 13th birthday which occurs 31st December which is in-line with the Rok CUP International regulations.”

This year there is a bit extra in it for the winner of this class:

“We are thrilled and excited that our request has been confirmed by the Karting Commission President and MSA. This allows us, as the Importers and Promoters of the Vortex Rok engine brand to focus purely on our local Rok CUP SA Club Championship that offers the parent/competitor the opportunity to race locally not only for the Rok CUP 2017 International World Finals, which includes an Airline ticket (Competitor), Accommodation (3-4 days), Race Entry, Engine Hire, 1 x Set of Bridgestone Tyres and Meal vouchers. (Wildcard Entry will again be available for additional Mini Rok competitors for 2017)”
